Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. Following her film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. A photographer approached Doody. Doody began to model that eventually led to an industry-related career in modelling. Doody did not like glamour or nude modeling, which she carried over to her acting. Having come to the attention of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors of 1986. 38. Still only 18 at the time she acted in the character Doody was - and remains - the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 version from The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She worked with Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist for forensics in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam named the Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal she went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody returned to acting in 2003, playing a small role in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. She starred along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). She guested in RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. Almeria the tierra de cinema award, and an Almeria Walk of Fame star were awarded on the 21st of November, 2018.
