Mary McDonnell
Mary Eileen McDonnell (born April 28th, 1952) is an American stage, film and TV actress. She was nominated to the Academy Award for her roles in Dances with Wolves as Stands With A Finger and Passion Fish as May-Alice Culhane. McDonnell is best known for her performances as First Lady Marilyn Whitmore in Independence Day and President Laura Roslin on Battlestar Galactica. In seasons 5-7 she appeared as Captain Sharon Raydor and in Major Crimes spin-offs on TNT.
